Lombard 2012 ready to set golf courses on fire
The growing scope and popularity about the game of golf can easily be ascertained from the entry of asset finance companies, like Lombard, that will now be initiating the venture of constructing a series of other golf courses in United Kingdom.
With the help and successful launching of the PGA Pro Captain, the finance company has acquired the reputation and position of launching the developmental venture of opening 500 clubs with the help of 10 regional qualifiers.
According to golf experts and pundits, with the help of such initiatives, the number of golf events held will definitely increase.
Likewise, with the increase of golf courses, the prize money for each golf event will also increase concomitantly.
It has been estimated that once these projects are materialised, in response to increasing prize money, the sponsors for surging the allocated prize money can also increase quite easily.
At present, it has been calculated that for a 36-hole competition, the total reward raised can easily be around 25,000 pounds.
At the time of its inauguration, David Green, along with Captain Steve Warburton, emerged as the champions of the golf event, after they defeated Marriott St Pierre at the Antalya Golf Club's PGA Sultan Course, in Turkey.
Director of Lombard, Andy Hart anticipates that Lombard will emerge as a successful golf event in times to come and will also provide new golf players a chance to explore their golf talents and potentials.
He said, "To see 500 clubs enter the tournament in its first year was particularly encouraging and shows that golf at a grass roots level is alive and kicking. We are looking forward to seeing many more clubs enter the 2012 Challenge".
