    Best Romantic Restaurants: London

    Enjoy!

  2. Catch the plane from Heathrow to somewhere else.  London is not a romantic city, it's not a tourist destination either .. there's no architecture, everything is very expensive, it's built in the Thames Basin' so you can't even take a view anywhere, the people are not particularly warm and hospitable, there is no tradition of good food except pub grub and expensive restaurants .. tell your best friend to surprise his girlfriend by taking her somewhere that is unforgettable.  Among the worlds Capitals London is eminently forgettable.

  3. Your Boyfriend is a regular at the Pink Coconut Bar in Soho.

    He's the Drag Act.........

  4. Go for Pearl restaurant and bar in High Holborn. Beautiful place with fantastic service, impressive selection of wines and amazing food. I believe they have special New years eve menu... It is the right place to treat girl of your heart. Check it on www.pearl-resturant.com

  5. ok go out for a meal. then the thames for fireworks?

not sure if they are doing them this year.. it's by the london eye

or just go clubbing.. the end , fabric etc.. (that depends on the promoter)

sometimes it's not about the money, more the time you spend together..

  6. Sale e Pepe is a a great Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge.  It's small enough to be romantic, yet full of hustle for a New Year's Eve.  The Harrington House Hotel is a short cab ride away and is most accommodating I've found.

  7. It is always difficult to choose the right location on a night such as New Years Eve. It depends on each individuals perspective as to what creates a great night. If your friend wants to spend the night in a more intimate fasion then taking hi GF out for a meal is perfect as the conversation is all about what THEY want to talk about and not what others choose. I think the idea of seeing a New Year in with the person I want to be with is far more memorable than getting drunk somewhere with a load of people i probably wont see again.

Finding the right location is equally as difficult. If it helps my friend recommended to me a restaurant in Gravesend, Kent called Riva. It just opened so this is their 1st New Years Eve, the restaurant is on the oldest surviving cast iron pier in the world and sits completely OVER the river thames. I have been told that the Tug Pilots set off a fantastic fireworks display at midnight so that should be fantastic to watch.

I looked at the place at myspace.com/riva_bar have a look for yourself and see what you think. I know that they have an eight course Chef's taster menu so clearly I wont be going hungry lol

I really hope this helps. Good luck
