London Oxford University Research Study indicates that the

(V.A.T.) Value Added Tax at 17.5%. The research study says.

A well designed and carefully targeted fat tax would be a useful

"tool" in food related diseases.

The study indicated the tax at 17.5% now in effect. Did not indicate the amount of money the tax "generates" and the

"use" of the tax money.That could be used to provide people with the information needed to achieve a more healthy living style. What Do You Think About Your British "FAT TAX" ???

  1. Any new tax is a bad Idea to begin with.  That being said, fatties need to pay more for insurance, and if they are uninsured and have a heart attack, they should pay out of pocket.  The socialist medicine in Great Britain is horrible, and because the government pays for it all anyway, maybe they should use any revenue from the tax to pay specifically for heart treatments or for anti fat campaigns similar to our anti tobacco ads in the USA.
