Question:

London Eye - Booking for 2

When you go on the London Eye do you have a compartment to yourself or do you have to share with others?

I am trying to think of something for my younger sister to do on her 18th. She said she wanted to do something she doesn't do every day.

I can spend up to £50. Any other ideas also?

  1. You'll normally have to share unless it's really, really quiet in which case you may be lucky. If you're not bothered about queuing then it's £15.50 per person but if you want to get on quickly there's Fast Track which is £25 per person.

  2. Not sure about the first part but maybe take her on a Spa Pamper Day?

  3. they can fit a Total of 800 on the wheel at a time. I seem to remember there were at least 20 people in the pod I was in

they do have some Specials at their website-

  4. You have to share unfortunately.  Unless you book the whole pod - which is expensive.  Go to lastminute.com for deals.

  5. you have to share with whoever is around you in the queue....

if you want to book the whole pod (some people do for wedding / dates etc) then expect to pay nearly 200 pounds

but from experience, i can tell you it is great fun - even when you are sharing - the pods are bigger than they look and people are not crammed in, so everyone has sufficient space to move around / take pictures etc

    have fun !!

  6. Yep unless you pay for a whole pod yourself (which costs £250 or more), you'll be sharing with others.  Book in advance on lastminute or www.londoneye.com for better discounts.
