I am considering buying a flat in Notting Hill but I have a few questions. How far is Notting Hill from central London? Could you ride your bike there? Also I wanna know if I am buying a flat will it come with water and electric and all the rest of the ammenties or will I have to rent the flat and on top of that pay for the ammenties? Sorry, havent lived by myself ever so I am new to this stuff haha. Anyway if you could help me it would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Notting Hill is close to (if not IN) Central London. You can ride your bike, if you want, but like everywhere else you have to be careful. Motorists are still not very used to cyclists here!

If you're looking at buying a flat in Notting Hill you will have to bring a lot of money! Buying in the area is expensive, and on top of that, you will have to pay tax on your property as well.

Water, gas and electricity will already be connected, but you will have to pay for it separately, based on either a "guestimate" of your usage, or on actual meter readings. It really depends on the sort of property you buy/rent how much you have to pay per month or quarter, but in general I would say that tax, gas, water and electricity (so excluding phone/internet) could cost you anywhere from £200 to £800 per month on top of your rent/mortgage.

    Good luck!

  2. f you're buying or renting a flat you will have to pay all your services on top (Gas,Water,Electric and also Rates) Thsi will add approx 400 pounds per month.

    Hope this helps
