London Irish ink one-year contract with former Bristol and Leeds fly half Adrian Jarvis - Rugby
Reading based English Premiership side, London Irish, has announced the signing of former England Saxons and Bristol Rugby’s fly half Adrian Jarvis to help strengthen their squad for next season. London Irish, also known as Exiles, welcomed Jarvis to the
team in a statement released on Thursday, July 7.
The statement released at the club’s official website read, “London Irish is pleased to announce the signing of fly half Adrian Jarvis on a one year contract.”
The 27-year-old Jarvis has represented different teams in the Heineken Cup, Anglo Welsh Cup, European Challenge Cup, English Premiership and RFU championship. The veteran player has expressed his delighted on signing the year-long contract with the Top level
Premiership side.  He has stated his hope that he can contribute in the club’s success during the upcoming season and try to become a permanent member of the squad.
Jarvis further expressed his excitement to play alongside the senior members of the squad. He said, “There are some talented and exciting players in the Exiles backline and I look forward to playing and training alongside them all. I feel that some of my
best rugby is still ahead of me and I am sure London Irish is the best place to bring it out.”
Jarvis previously has played for Harlequins, Bristol Rugby and Leeds Carnegie. He signed a short-term deal with the Leeds prior to their Premiership relegation at the end of the 2010/11 Aviva Premiership season.
London Irish head coach, Toby Booth, has expressed his delight on securing the services of Jarvis and praised his goal kicking skills. He said, “We have talented youngsters who will learn a great deal from him. His kicking out of hand and at goal is outstanding
and it is very good to know that we will have that in our locker for this season.”
Booth further added, "During a World Cup year when there are key players missing it is important to have players around the squad with experience and that is something Adrian will bring to us."
He will be taking up his place with the team at the start of the English Premiership.
