I have tried so hard to get something put in the "get it off your txt" section without joy... Do you think its a text in scam like ITV's gameshows?

As it's a "freebie" newspaper I don't suppose they have that much room for that sort of thing - they'd be too busy taking in paid adverts to cover the cost of producing the paper - and I hope your would-be text has something to do with railways, or else why have you posted it here ! ! !

But they'll always say they receive to many texts and yours is not interesting enough.

If you are paying something on the top of the text rate, better off sending an email to the letters section and see if they'd consider it :)
