  1. Fredericks,Angel Islingtons worth a look. Smart,50 a head should be okay.

  2. There are already some good suggestions above.  You may also want to check out www.squaremeal.co.uk as this is the standard industry site for PAs/secretaries/events organisers to use when booking business lunches and events.  This means that you can totally trust that all the reviews on there are going to be appropriate and relevant for business meetings.

  3. there are plenty of places in Islington Upper Street...really comes down to taste and for how many people

  4. Duke of Cambridge on St. Peter's Street near the Angel.  Gastropub (God I hate that word!) that specialises in organic food, about £40 a head with wine. Really top and good at lunch for businesses but book in advance.

  5. Try Ottolenghi or Fig & Olive both on Upper Street, Islington, N1. Both do excellent modern European food in trendy surroundings with friendly service. Not at all your trad business hotel type restaurant, and all the better for it!

  6. Mcdonalds off Regent Street, the informal approach works these days.

  7. Restaurant  Sacre Coeur at the Angel, french bistro type food proper cooking.

  8. Try Konstam at the Prince Albert, 2 Acton Street, WC1X. A newish Restaurant that recently featured in a television series. They source all their food from the London area. The menu on their site looks really delicious.
