  1. if you're only going to be in London for the one day, then the one day travelcard is best ... if you're going to be in London for a while, or you're coming back regularly, then it would make sense to get an Oyster card ... neither is cheaper, they are the same price, but you pay £3 deposit on your Oyster card and it is re-usable

  2. You can get a family travelcard too, so it will be a bit cheaper.

  3. the best thing for above said attractions would be £3.50 bus pass. All the above said attractions are withing walking distances, but you can have a bus pass at your disposal just in case. No need to buy travelcard for that.

  4. a one day travelcard is £6.80 covering peak hours.

A child card is £3.40 for a total of £20.40.

With the oyster card you pay by journey up to the cap rate  which is the travelcard rate less 50 pence. So given the number of times you will use the travelcard and the fact its for one day only then dont get an oyster card.

Also even without the kids travelcard kids are £1 per journey when the adult has a travelcard, so 3 or less journeys makes it cheaper without a separate kids card.

  5. Hi there, the guys up there have covered most of the information BUT it's really worth pointing out that if you have an ADULT travelcard, then you can buy an off-peak KIDS travelcard for only £1 - this will probably mean that it is much cheaper for you as a family to use travelcards. If your kids are *UNDER 10*, then they travel for FREE anyway! Have fun! Hx
