London Welsh in bid to sign Gavin Henson
London Welsh has launched an ambitious bid to sign out of favour Ospreys man Gavin Henson.
Henson has not played for Ospreys since March last year due to personal reasons. Henson is looking to resurrect his career in London and has now been offered this chance.
"Whatever happens, Gavin would have to play several games at a level below the English Premiership or the Magners
League before he started in the top flight again. If in the meantime he would like to come and train and play at London Welsh, we would love to have him,"
said Ospreys managing director John Taylor.

Henson still has a great deal of skill and experience that would make him an important player for London Welsh. However, he'll have to work hard on his match fitness before
the club gives him a game.
Skill and experience
Henson is a very experienced player. He's played 85 times for Ospreys and 31 times for Wales. This means he won't find it difficult to adapt to the routines of playing
full-time rugby again.
He is a versatile player who can play in the middle of the pitch or out wide. This will give London Welsh a player who can cover in more than one position. This will come
in useful through spells where the club has a number of injuries.
Ambition and determination is a big part of Henson's game. No one could have blamed the Welshman if he'd decided to retire after such a long spell out of rugby. However,
he's actively seeking a move and has stated his intent to play for Wales at the World Cup next year.
Taylor added: "It is a no-brainer. He would enjoy it because there is
still a very strong Welsh atmosphere at the club and hopefully it is a situation that can happen. If he needs a Welsh home in London, we are it."
Betting advice
Henson should do very well at Championship level. If he does sign for the club then back him to score at any time in any game. The quality of rugby in the Championship
should allow him to have an immediate impact.
