i'm going to london next week and i was wondering if anyone has gone to visit the london dungeon. it sounds like lots of fun but i'm kind of unsure about the two rides: the extremis and the boat ride. are they really that scary? and some people say that the museum is really hot and smelly. are the smells that bad? any other general info and opinions would be a huge help too!

  1. It depends how scared you like to get. When we went, a Chinese student who was on her own asked to go round with us! Some of the kids (even the older ones) got badly affected by the psycho bit where scary characters jump out at you unexpectedly - and I didn't like that bit either - too near the mark! The rides seemed tame in comarison with that.

Also, when we got there the queue was all the way down the (busy traffic) road and under the bridge - in the rain!

Maybe, if you're going, make sure its with a friend you can grab onto!

  2. The smells are VERY bad..but it is amazing!  I have been 3x when there have been different main exhibits, and loved it every time!

Yes, it can be stinky and scary, but it is SO FUN!!!  I don't want to spoil all the surprises..so I'll just say...

You will have a fab time ;)  And I'd go again tomorrow lol..oo yeah and get lots of pics lol

  3. yes i have been to london 3 times and the museum is kinda hott and smelly to get to the museum you have to go up to about like 50 steps and their concrete, reallysmall lol i was kinda getting claustrophobic..but ya i dont remebr anything else really cuz i went the year 06'' lol um but ya hope that kinda some how helped.

  4. I'm going there today! I haven't been there for about two years but it's great! I've been on the boat ride and it's not scary at all. I haven't been on the new ride though but I will be going on it today! It is quite hot, especially in summer (obviously) and the smell is kind of a musty smell but it's not unbearable. Things can make you jump at times so brace yourself and sometimes you can get picked out by the people that work there to take part in things. I was picked out for the 'demonstration' of things used to torture people. I'm not sure if that's still there though. Have fun!
