Question:

London in Aug-Sept - What to wear, see, advice please!?

I will be in London for just a few days between August and September. What is the best type of jacket to bring during this time of year? Would a knee-length trench coat be too much? Would a cardigan not be enough? Would a sport coat be more appropriate?

Also, any recommendations on must-see/do people/places/things? I like anything and everything to do with the environment and human rights, architecture/design, how things work.

Thanks in advance

  1. wear anything you like - london has an eclectic fashion scene, so if you want to wear nikes, go ahead - plenty of other people wear them

london could be hot in august and september, but odds are it'll rain and be cold at least a couple of times over the summer months, so come prepared for bad weather with something lighter if it's sunny!

if you like culture, try the tate modern, there's some brilliant modern art there. the science museum's interesting (and free!)

there'll probably be small festivals going on (there are most weekends) so worth googling london festivals and seeing what's on when you're in town
