London next month?

Question

I'll be in London 04/11-04/15 are ther any rugby or football games that any one knows about? I'd like to see some. This is my 4th time to London, I've done all the touristy things...any other ideas of things to do? Thanks:)

Catch a train to the following sites, these are all guinness premiership games.

28 Apr 15:00 NEC Harlequins vs Sale Sharks  Twickenham Stoop Stadium, London

There is a ton to do outside of London - Cardiff is a fantastic city as is Edinburgh. (Cardiff is a lot closer to London). If you want an old-fashioned market town - take a train to Wolverhampton from Euston and then a cab to Brignorth on a Saturday. Steam train, market town, overlooking the Severn river, absolutely gorgeous.

I would check out local club games if the premieship games are sold out... local club rugby is a blast, as is the after game pint in the local pub.

Basically - skip the tourist stuff and check out what the locals do.

Hi Melissa - if you fancy the train trip up to Newcastle, and going to see the Falcons while you are about, let us know - we can take you to the match - Friday games are great crack- and if you like we can give you a room for the night .  Rugby makes friends across the world!

You won't get tickets to any decent football games, even if you manage - they'll be over priced.

Any of the rugby games Dan mentioned above will be good and you'll get tickets from any of their club websites.

I'd go for the Harlequins game if I were you.

Easy to get to, nice ground and good to to out in Twickenham or Richmond afterwards
