London or Home?

so this is the deal. i graduate in 2010 and i have the oppertunity already to go to school in London. i really want to and have always wanted to, its my dream school. but after i graduate my parents are moving back north and so if i want to see any of my old friends here i cant. i feel like i am abandoning them. i can graduate this year i just dont know what to do so i dont think i can graduate early. What should i do? i could be leaving behind a great guy ive been with for fourteen months.

I'm not sure where home is, but assuming it is in the UK somewhere.  

I'd go for the dream of going to London if I were you.  If you've always wanted to do it, then you shouldn't put it off.  You will make new friends and possibly still see the guy.

However, 2010 is a couple of years away, so you never know what will happen with the guy in that time, so keep going with your plans to move to London.

Your friends will come and visit you if they're good friends.  It's always fun to go and stay with a friend in a new city or town for a mad weekend.  If they lose contact with you, then they probably weren't that good a friend anyway (moving away is a very interesting way to tell your real friends from the aquaintances!).

But if moving to London is part of your plans for your future, then you shouldn't change it because of boys or friends at this point.  You will meet many new and interesting people at your new university or college.  If you don't go, then you may end up regretting it.  Better to go and not like it than not to go at all.

If it doesn't work out, you can always change to a college/school nearer home.  I know a few people who've done this for various reasons.
