most of the london underground staff are courteous and respectful and i have a couple of friends who work for them but what would your reaction be if the london underground staff told you off becuase you are a tourist who just stood near a customer and clearly the who did not know the conventions of london, was told that you are rude and you have no manners and basically embarrased? on top of that when you tried to explain yourself (in a calm way) that you did no mean to and he says "i could say whatever i want to say and shouts other things via the loud tannoy in the other customers earshot. how would you feel and what steps would you take? i saw what happened, the tourist did not say anything rude, he was just simply standing there behind the customer which the london underground guy was serving. a complete innocent tourist.

  2. i dropped you an email before i read your question, this behaviour is unacceptable from any member of staff, give london underground customer services a call

    London Underground

    Telephone: 0845 330 9880 (08:00-20:00, 7 days a week)

By post: Customer Service Centre, London Underground, 55 Broadway, London SW1H 0BD

i would feel outraged and would definately have reported it to the station manager/supervisor.

lodge your complaint and it will be addressed, the member of staff behaviour will be questioned by their managers.

PS the majority of tube staff are very helpful and pleasant.
