London weather records?

How can I find London weather records for a specific date? I need to know when exactly there was a big storm (end of june, beginning of july 2008)

Go to this link, type in your location and select a date and it'll give you weather data from that date. They have records that go as far back as 1996.

I know that there was a Heavy Thuderstorm in Putney SW15 at the time as I was working as a Parking Attendant there & I was lucky enough to be taking shelter in a doorway from the pouring rain ! All my Colleagues at the time were still trying to enforce in the pouring rain but I was taking shelter ! They all got back to base soaking wet yet I returned to base 100% dry ! Who was smarter ?

Contact the Meteorological Office in the UK at Swanage (?) I believe & they should be able to tell you what you want to know !
