  4. A more few attractions, divided by tube line: there are loads more to add!

    PICCADILLY line:

Knightsbridge: Harrods (and other posh shops), the Royal Albert Hall (concerts), Kensington Gardens (one of the royal palaces & also the park connected with Princess Diana and Peter Pan.

South Kensington: the V&A, Science and Natural History museums.

Green Park: Hyde Park for "Speaker's Corner", the Ritz Hotel for tea, Buckingham Palace by strolling across Green Park.

Piccadilly Circus: Royal Academy (premier art gallery), statue of Eros, West End shops (the tube stn is at the end of Regent Street).

Covent Garden: Covent Garden piazza (restaurants, art/crafts market, London Transport Museum), Royal Opera House.

    NORTHERN Line:

    Camden Town:

Camden Lock markets, the Roundhouse (offbeat theatre)

Leicester Square (also on Piccadilly line): Chinatown/Soho (restaurants), flagship cinemas (movie premieres), West End theatres, Trafalgar Square.

Charing Cross: Trafalgar Square, the Strand (for more West End theatres, plus the Savoy Hotel -- due to reopen next year after a £100m refurbishment).

Waterloo: South Bank theatres and concert halls, London Eye, London Aquarium.

    DISTRICT line:

    South Kensington: (see above)

Sloane Square: top end of Chelsea for fab shops: retro/designer fashion, antiques etc

Westminster: Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall (walk up to see 10 Downing Street = home of Prime Minister), Westminster Bridge (great views of Parliament).

Tower Hill: Tower Bridge and Tower of London.

There's so much more: and if you want to use the buses (great for sightseeing-as-you-go), Transport for London has a terrific tourist map here: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/1106...

Hope you enjoy your visit. =D

  5. All of the above plus Monument for London Monument and London Bridge or Tower HIll for Tower Bridge and Tower of London.

Many of the sights and stops we all have listed are very close and within walking distance.  To save money on transport and better see the city I would recommend buying a good detailed central London map and walking between sites that look close enough to do so.
