Also why has it taken over 50 years to clear East London of German bombs from WW2 I saw the one they detonated in west ham and it was F***n huge why so long?

  1. Yes, I go past Stratford quite often and wonder far short of a miracle (or a lot of Chinese workers) how this project will ever be completed on time.

As for the bombs still left laying around, would you not think that in this day and age they could do a bit of detecting? I lived at West Ham for most of my life (Scary).

Last but not Least - HOW CAN LONDON EVER BEAT THAT WONDERFUL SPECTACULAR FROM BEIJING ??

  10. The Olympics in London would be better if it could take a similar route that China did. China took the path of depicting it's rich, vivid history, such as the invention of paper and the printing press to it's unique dances and songs. I don't even understand Mandarin but I love listening to Chinese music! Britain is rich in culture too but it fails to show it compared to other entities like China, India and Nigeria. I feel that in order for London 2012 to be successful, it should show its diverse cultures as well as unleashing it's own personal culture. For example, this could be done by positing Grime artists (of which the Grime genre originated primarily from the African American community but also has a blend of Caribbean roots in it too). China depicted that they invented paper, so why not have the London games illustrate great literature artists such as William Shakespeare, of whom have made a huge influential dent in Western literature. The London games should also take the "80's route" by featuring musicians such as Phil Collins and George Michael. However, from what I'm seeing now (I live not too far from Stratford. Bow to be exact) is that the London 2012 is going to be taking the route where all of it seems "modern". "Modern" does not have history nor does it allow the audience to walk away from it knowing that they have learned a thing or too. It messes things up too because people get bored quickly and watching a bunch of artists sing. Overall, I feel that the London 2012 Olympics should be retrospective with a slight hint of it's diverse culture (Grime, Bangladeshi Music etc). Only until it does that, I fear the opening ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics could not compare in the slightest to Beijing's.

I hope the best for London 2012 overall!
