Lonely Boy tipped to win the Heat 2 at Sheffield
Lonely Boy is tipped to win the Heat 2 at Sheffield in England on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. All greyhounds will have to cover an overall distance of 480 metres and the winner will be awarded with a cash prize of £200.
The Grade OR event, which is scheduled to start at 20:14 GMT, has attracted six quality runners and their names are as follows: Lonely Boy, Swabys Princess, Clerihan Gold, Proper Pink, Balmi Blue and Franks Four.
Although Lonely Boy has not been in dominant form over the past few months, the bookies have awarded him with the best odds. He is not known to be a good starter, but gains momentum in the middle section of the race. This can work in his favour, but it can
also have a negative effect in the end, depending on the speed of the rival hounds.
C. Lister’s trainee has been doing quite a few trial times recently, which means he is not in good race practice. However, he is a quality performer and will cause problems for the rest of the pack.
The black dog finished third in his most recent outing. He could have achieved a lot more in that event, as he was the bookmakers’ favourite that time around as well. However, he failed to meet the expectations of everyone, thus the punter will be reluctant
over placing bets in his favour.
The seasoned runner is the son of Digital out of Moss Jumper and was born in November 2008.
Swabys Princess is in great touch at the moment and she might be the one finishing on top if the table today. Her recent form has been quite impressive and the bettors will definitely risk some money on her.
P. Young’s trained b***h performed well in her most recent outing, as he finished runner up by a small margin. She has been running quite regularly at Sheffield, thus the momentum is on her side at the moment.
The black b***h is known for her stamina and will be a strong contender for victory today. She is the daughter of Westmead Hawk out of Droopys Rena and was born in August 2009.
The real battle appears to be between the top two favourites, as they are in very good shape at the moment whereas the rest of the runners will have to work hard to make an impression.
