  1. Very close to the pier is Joe's Crabshack in the Marina. Despite the corny name, it has quality seafood.

  2. La Palapa's is pretty good - our company had our xmas party there and the food was yummy and the portions were large.

Parker's Lighthouse is a little more on the $$ side, but they are known for their seafood.

I, personally wouldn't recommend Joe's Crab Shack if you are looking for a non-chain... The food is fine, but it's nothing out of this world and it can get pretty $$

  3. Just a warning, you will not be overwhelmed with the beauty of the Belmont Memorial Pier. It's probably one of the least attractive in the state. They are also doing a large amount of construction by the pier so everything is torn up.

Belmont Brewing Company is the closest restaurant overlooking the pier, unfortunately their food is horrible and you can cook better stuff yourself.

Gypsy's Mediterranean Grill is located next to Belmont Brewing and they have much better food.

La Palapa Del-Mar  is within a 5 miunte walk from the pier and they have good food and a nice outdoor patio that is by the beach. They are also connected to the Belmont indoor pool and have 2 large parking lots close by. Since you want seafood this would be the best place to go.

There is a newly renovated Vons that specializes in take out food and you could pick up sandwiches or hot entrees from there.

  4. I don't know where Belmont Shores in, but I just ate at this seafood place in downtown long beach. it was pretty good.
