Long Beach bars & clubs & restaurants?

We'll be out there in September, but it's going to be on a Wednesday and Thursday night. We're 3 guys and one lass. What are the places we should be visiting for a good night out.

Since you're tourists you can go to Pine Avenue and Shoreline Village. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in those 2 areas and they are not on the list below.  The Yard House in Shoreline Village is a good place to eat and get a drink though. They have over 100 beers on tap and the place sits on the water.

If you don't want to do the touristy thing than try these places. Long Beach mostly has dive bars. Some are popular with the college students, some are popular with the tattoo and piercing crowd, some are popular with our very large g*y community while others are popular with people that look like potential serial killers. I won't list the ones that the serial killers go to.

Most of the places have webpages, so look them up to get their addresses.

Parking is notoriously bad in Long Beach. Be prepared to circle the block several times if you drive. If you don't have a car you can ride the red Passport Bus to get to most of these places. On Thursday night you can ride the booze bus a.k.a. the Big Red Bus and go bar hopping. It's an open-top double decker bus and quite the party on board. The websites are below.
