I have been with this girl for about 5 months. I visit her as much as I can but she lives in Dominican Republic and I live in FL.She is a US citizen .I go to the Dominican Republic as much as possible because I have alot of family and I have her. She is in love with me and I have the same feelings back. The only thing that scares me is that I dont see her everyday but we do communicate throughout the day for hrs. Shes very happy and so am I. Could this be a huge issue in the future that we are not AT THIS TIME, together everyday. Im just waiting till I finish school and she does too. We clearly have about 2 years until we can actually live together. Any suggestions and anybody with personal expierance.

  1. It can be done for sure ,summer hols and xmas , and just hols spend them together do not put friends or anything before this realtionship and it will work out if you are right for each other.

    Get engaged lol

  2. It can work out!

With loyalty, love, commitment, trust and patience it's all possible.

I've been (and actually am) in the same boat, and I've read a lot about it, and it can definitely work out, obviously always having in mind that the distance HAS to end at some point, that makes the love even stronger, makes the heart grow fonder when you have a goal in common, something to look forward to.

I've read of couples that have been able to stay together long distance for 8+ years. Of course, that's a bit too much, but I'm just saying that if some people are able to stay long distance for that long, then 2 years shouldn't break you two apart.

Always keep communication alive and never let a day go by without knowing from each other, that will keep the flame alive until you two can be together again. Visit as often as you can, and always look forward to the next time you'll see each other, that will make the pain much less.

    Good luck!
