Long Hair + Job Interview = Disaster?

I have long hair and I have a job interview tomorrow. My father confronted me about this and I had no urge what so ever to cut my hair for this job. Would the hair ruin my chances of getting a job completely?

  1. yes i think sooo.

but actually it depends on ur job also...

which type of ur job is... if it is something related to the ppls ... like banker... or hotel management type then  must cut ur hairs

and long hair doesn't look good on interview day...

so i must say u cut ur hair before go for interview

  2. .......And the sign said ," Longhaired freaky people need not apply"... so I tucked my hair up under my hat , and I went in to ask him why. He said ,"you look like a fine , upstanding young man , I think you'll do." And then  I took off my hat and said,"Imagine that , ME workin' for YOU!!"

  3. what are you interviewing for?  Rock star?  keep the hair.  Cooking burgers?  Lose the hair.  Something where you meet the public and need to make a good impression?  Lose the hair.  Do you have a skill that your interviewer cant function without and there's no one else within 500 miles like you?  keep the hair.  US Marines?  beat them to it, shave your head!!!  What does the jpb require and how badly do you want or need it?

  4. I think it depends how much you want the job.

Do you risk it and hope that they are the kind of company that sees past physical appearance and employs the right person for the job regardless of looks, or do you bow to conformity, lop it off and never know if they would have employed you with the hair anyway?

Personally, I would keep it, and imagine the look on your father's face when you walk in after the interview, long hair still intact and announce you got the job!

    Good luck.

  5. The personal appearance is absolutely important at job interviews, keep that in mind. Even tough I don't think a long hair compromises it.

Just have your hair clean, made up, and in a way that you feel confident with. Don't try complicated hairstyles.

Good luck at the interview! ;)
