  1. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll Llantysiliogogogoch

    in Wales

  2. The most famous one is in Welsh, has 58 letters, and is (actually all one word without the space in the middle):

    Llanfairpwllgwynngyllgogerychw yrndrobwlllantysiliogogogoch

It is a town in North Wales meaning "St. Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the rapid whirlpool of Llantysilio of the red cave" or "St. Mary's (Church) by the white aspen over the whirlpool, and St. Tysilio's (Church) by the red cave" in Welsh.

HOWEVER this is only a recent version of the name (as in from the 19th Centuary onwards), as originally, and on maps and road signs, only the FIRST 20 LETTERS are used, which may be the answer you are looking for, if it is a quiz question.  This would be

    LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLL

The longest English name (in the Guinness Book of Records) has 18 letters and is:

    BLAKEHOPEBURNHAUGH

which is a little hamlet in the Redesdale Forest.

Cottonshopeburnfoot is only half a mile away and has 19 letters but is disqualified because the Ordnance Survey writes it as

    Cottonshopeburn Foot

In Scotland, the longest has 18 letters, and is:

    COIGNAFEUINTERNICH

    in Inverness-shire

  3. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwlll...

Somewhere in wales, though they only changed the name to that to get publicity, it means 'somethingsomething little church on a hill' if i remember rightly

  5. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwlll...

The long form of the name is the longest officially recognised place name in the United Kingdom and one of the longest in the world, being 58 letters in length (51 letters in the Welsh alphabet, where "ch" and "ll" count as single letters). The name is Welsh for "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave".
