  1. Growing up we lived in a rural area (read farm) and rode a bus to school. We walked a mile to the cross road where we caught the bus and then rode for an hour and a half to an hour and forty five minutes to get to school. In bad weather it sometimes took over two hours, but getting an education was definitely worth it.

  2. obtaining quality education is always nice and if u are keen on getting it u should be able to take it offcourse if u despise the whole concept of going to far more than this than kindly switch

  3. Do you have a choice in the matter? What is the choice? To go to school or not to go to school? You need an education if for nothing else so you don't get taken advantage by liars and manipulators.

  4. It depends on the school.  Is the school worth everything you have to give up for that?  Do you have any other options?

That long commute could end up isolating you, socially.  If you can't hang out with people after school, if you can't visit your friends easily (either because you don't have a car or because of the expense of gasoline considering how far you'd have to drive) or participate in extracurricular activities, well, you're losing something because of your commute.

In retrospect, I'd have been better off going to a school 5 times farther than the one I went to.  I only lived 4 miles from school, but when it's 40 below, that hardly matters, and I was the first bus stop in the morning and the last in the evening.  I had a 45 minute bus ride, when I could have had about a 30 minute ride to town with my mom.  My school was physically isolated, and I was just as isolated from it as I would have been from any local school.

IMO, as long as the nearer school is a decent one, the more convenient the school, the better.

  5. I don't know

  6. when I was young, I lived in Mexico,  commuted 1 1/2 hours to El Paso TX to a fancy private high school every day... its boring, I know, but its wort it at the end,

you'll get into a better college, make more money and buy an expensive condo downtown... that way you way you don't have to buy a house in the suburbs and commute 2 hours every day for the rest of your life.
