Question:

Long distance taxi service?

Anyone know of any long distance taxi/transportation services?

I need a ride from Las Vegas, Nevada to anywhere around Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I don't want to take a bus or a train or plane. I want a taxi service so I don't have to deal with all the hassle. I will pay your offer if it's reasonable. I will be leaving around September 15th, 2008.

Thank you.

  1. that would could cost you at least $1000 dollars! are you sure

    ?

you might want try craigslist to see if they might have  a ride going that

direction.. but mind you you will be riding with someone you dont know

    a stranger

why dont you want to fly itss a lot lesss hassle

and if you used craigslist you might not find anyone going that direction

  2. As you know, taxi fares are metered while running around town. But going out of state is another matter. I am not sure if you will have any luck finding one to take you x-country. Just remember that it will be a round trip for the cab for which you will be responsible, regardless of how long you stay in PA. Ask the cab co. if they do out-of-state charter runs.

If you can't find someone to take you in a cab, call a limo co. and see about a sedan limo, which is about the same size as a cab.  Limos are usually cleaner and more comfortable and the drivers more professional and customer oriented. Again figure a round trip price tag, with or without you coming back.

Just off the top of my head, you're looking at between $1000 to $1500 per day times 3 days each way plus 20 pct gratuity for the driver. That comes out to $7200 to $10,800 total round trip. Don't plan on these numbers covering lodging or food. Limo drivers are limited to the number of hours per day they can drive; taxi drivers are not.

    Have a good trip.
