Long island buses near Stonybrook ?

I'm attending Stonybrook University in the fall, I was wondering if there are any bus services in that area, just to get around.

  1. Do you mean SUNY @ Stonybrook is also next to LIRR's StonyBrook Station.

    It's not Long Island Buses is MTA Agency owned by Nassau county executive. It's called Suffolk County Transit. (SCT)

    Following Suffolk County buses that serve this campus are:

    S60

    S69

    S71

    S3D

    Student fare for buses are $1.00.

    Transfer cost 25 cent and must be purchase upon boarding.

    Transfer is good for two hours with up to 2 connecting buses.
