Long quotations?

I know you're supposed to set off long quotations of four or more lines, but is that four or more lines of the original text, or four or more lines that have been typed? I've typed three lines, but in the book there are four lines. Do I set this off?

Offset it.  By the time you do so it will be 4 lines anyway.
