Longboard Supplies..?

Question

i started to just learn to longboard and cruise around a couple of weeks ago and mines one from Sector 9 made outta bamboo.. am i able to just go to a local shop like Active Skating goods and make them replace my dirty grip tape, clean my bearings.. and such? or do i have to order **** online and do it the hard way...

ask the shop, i tried 4 different ones, before i found one with people i felt comfortable with...........
