ive tried to slide on my longboard but when ever i put my have down the board doesnt turn and shoots out straight. im trying to do the coleman slide but nothing works. i watched the video on youtube, i put my wieght on my hand i have the right foot position, it just wont slide.

my setup is a krown pintail complete. i added a 1/8 riser to the one already on it so i can carve better but i doubt that has anything to do with my slide. i also heard u have to wear ur wheels out before u can slide. is that true? if so how worn? and tips would be appriciated.

  1. make sure your not grabbing your board with your free hand cuz that can make it harder and it screws up your wheels. try going faster and really comit to the slide

  2. sliding needs harder wheels, try anything from a durometer of 81a and up, get sliding gloves and really force that back foot out.
