Does anyone know what the record is for the longest rally in professional tennis??? Also, who were the players and when? THANKS ALL!

  1. The longest tennis rally in history is a new Guinness world record by Rob Peterson and Ray Miller of the USA. The two rallyed 17,062 non-stop in 9hrs 7 min during a USTA event.

    and to reply to the person below me it does count because it was a sanctioned USTA event.


  2. The above Peterson - Miller rally was not a real match.   It was just set up to break the record in the Guinness book.    The record for a real rally in a pro match is held by Vicki Nelson and Jean Hepner, set in October 1984.   It was 643 hits over the net.

    Edit:   I looked at americantennispro.com   and did not find anything about this.   The sources I read said that it was just set up by two friends to break the record in the Guinness book of world records.  Even if this was with the approval of the USTA it was not professional tennis.   If it was, who won and what was the score?
