The three-year-old black hound, Longwood Fantasy has earned it for himself to qualify as the favourite of the Ladbrokes Gold Cup – Heat 1 on Monday, 13th August, 2012 at Monmore over 480 metres flat. The first victory of the season for Premier Fantasy’s son was in the Heat 6 at Swindon on 20th February, 2012 over 480 metres. Racing from the middle and then leading the run in settled the race in 28.51 seconds while leading by a length.
Coming at terms with the second position was, Droopys Loner.
After missing the next four races, the three-year-old won a 480 metres race on 15th May, 2012 at Wimbledon over 480 metres. He bumped after breaking from the gate and then led from the third position resting the race in 28.63 seconds. He won by the margin of five lengths.

Finishing the closest to the winner was, Bit View Micko.

The race was won by, Taylors Cruise in 29.81 seconds.
Missing another start got him winning the 485 metres race at Coventry on 21st June, 2012. Breaking into a high gear and then not compromising on the lead got Longwood Fantasy the race in 29.24 seconds with the margin of 4 ¼ lengths right under his belt.
