Longwood Fantasy to fancy his chances in Coral Sussex Cup - Heat 5 at Hove
Longwood Fantasy is a very smart performer, when things go his way. After a couple of great rides, the black dog is all set to sway things in his favour in the Coral Sussex Cup - Heat 5 at Hove on Thursday, July 19th.
On June 21st, he sealed an emphatic win at Coven, bagging the first prize by four and a quarter lengths. After reaching this venue at the end of last month, C. Callow’s trainee made a fine solo outing, in which he covered the distance of 515 metres
in 29.76 seconds.
The son of Premier Fantasy ran quite well in his recent trip, but luck was not on his side that day. Despite getting crowded twice in the beginning, the dashing hound ensured the runner-up spot with ease. He is in good shape at the moment and therefore,
one can expect him to perpetuate his good work tonight.
Five speedy hounds will look to spoil his party in today’s 515 metres open race and their names are: Longwood Fantasy, Go Go Sonic, Be Real, Holycross Prince and Airforce Vegas. The officials will kick off the £175 at 21:06 GMT.
This trip may prove more than Be Real cares for. The black dog won an open race at Henlow at the start of this month, but filed to carry forward his good work. Hove’s audience saw him finishing fourth behind Droopys Vito last time.
Holycross Prince was Classic finalist at Sunderland and this is equally tough. J. Mullins’ charge was awful in his last outing, ending up fifth after suffering plenty of mess in the beginning.
Droopys Vito is an unpredictable runner. After facing a horrible defeat at Coven, he turned things around, sealing an emphatic win last time around. Despite getting crowded at the start, he did well to grab the top place by two and a quarter lengths.
Supporting Airforce Vegas in this class is not the way to riches. Go Go Sonic is due to run from the sixth trap and this is a major positive to his claims.
Droopys Vito is a very dangerous hound, but it can still pay to side with Longwood Fantasy. Good luck to all the runners.
