Can we seriously stop the bs.

it's alrite to have a favourite player but to be dissing there rivals and having childish fights with their fans.

this IS BS. i mean i love Nole but Rafa is bloody awesome and Fed is unbelievable.

Can we like these players for a healthy rivalry and great tennis?

rather than act like "tennis is the best", "Rafa Girl" etc.

  1. I agree.

  2. I agree they should stop. It's ok to support your favorite, but when you start talking trash about another player that's another thing completely. Players respect each other, why can't their fans do the same?

As much as I'd like to see peace take over this section. I don't see that happening soon. People in this section are just too opinionated. I enjoy reading their question and answers but it gets annoying when they start posting stuff that are just calling for a war.

But I guess that's what makes this section interesting!

  3. Yes i agree :)! They are all great players in there own way and bring a lot to tennis. There has been a lot of BS on here, im sick of it. People are acting very childish Me included im just as bad as tennis is the best. I mean we all have favourite players and have our different opinions, we should respect each other even if we disagree thats life not everyone is going to agree with you.

  4. Of course! of course... who gets serious with this stuff anyway? I think that the fans are just having a good time with their favorite players. No one can please anybody else, and that's interesting! If we all like the same player, that would be a boring world of tennis.  Somebody has to be a villain to make a movie interesting to watch...however, everyone can be a hero in anybody's eyes.

All these tennis players are great...and so with the variety of fans' who idolized them...even some have to step on others just to be recognized...that's still fine with me...

  5. i think we need good rivalry and great tennis which both the guys is showing all the way..Nadal is unbeatable on clay and on grass Federer is unbeatable...so both are great on their game...and when they are not fighting why should fan need to do that...but it's human ego and that is the problem....

  6. Nope. What fun and interest would it be if everything was harmonious. As viewers of tennis, I am sure that we all aren't always hoping for the lovey-dovey relationships between the top three players. The sizzle of Novak (even though I am no longer an fan of his given his antics and trash talk just prior to his 2007 Aust Open match with RF), has provided a much needed spark to the men's game and one that is also posing a serious threat to the long unchallenged top-two ranking spots.

I am sure for those old enough, the rivalries of the mid 70s thru 80s with characters such as McEnroe, Borg, Lendl, Connors, Cash, Nastase and co. were much loved by spectators and that despite everyone having their favourite, they could appreciate the talents of "the others" and some of the great matches that such rivalries brought out.

Don't get me wrong with my comments though - I love seeing a great relationship and respect (after some earlier prickly moments) between Roger and Rafa, however as much as I personally don't like him, I like the spice that Novak's (boorish) attitude has brought to the men's game. When was the last time there was so much interest and debate in the men's game about "who is loved more, less etc."

I am sure that a number of folks on this thread who wish for no BS and want happiness and loving relationships between tennis players, also follow other sports closely and have their favourite team / player and the team / players they love to hate with a passion. Why should it be different with tennis?

Not many folk seemed to complain on the ladies side when Hingis was around and had "issues" with certain other players - Why no comment to the Hingis v Williams; Hingis v Sprilea; Hingis v anyone who beat her...

  7. NOLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. It is a waste of time arguing.  Instead, we should realize that we have a gift right now of having an ideal top three and one where we can say that this is the big three for this era.  Great games from them, great matches, great natural talent, nice personalities, styles and of course class, respect, humility and graciousness.  It's a nice time right now for the men's game.

  9. i totally agree. All of them all are great for the game and entertaining to watch and long may it continue.

  10. I agree with that.

  11. I agree.  I simply quote what the past greats have said about the players, and they are all amazed by Federer. Also recent articles still question if his immune system is really up to 100% health yet, as the boil he had on his cheek attests to the fact that his immune system is whack.

SO, next year, Fed fans will be able to rejoice when our guy comes back full force and 100% back to par (HIS par).

Each of these players has a completely different style and personality. Most Fed fans respect Nadal and vice versa. There has been negativity to Nole, because of his recent comments and antics, and his frequent injury time outs at inappropriate moments in the game, in otherwords, his gamesmanship has been called questionable.

  12. No there will never be peace because for one thing those childish fans think their boy is the best and don't think they're saying or doing anything wrong. Look at some of the responses you already got.

Let me put this into perspective for you Federer fans are mad and can't accept the fact that their boy is declining and that he's getting older and only gonna get worse. They take their frustrations out on the Djokovic and Nadal because they think it's their fault that Federer can't hang with them anymore. The truth is he's just old and washed up.

Nadal fans are mad at the Federer fans for picking on Nadal and they can't stand Djokovic because he's a much more well rounded player than Nadal. They pick on Djokovic because they can't face the fact that Nadal only plays wells on two surfaces and his style of play is going to get him seriously injuried soon. The truth is Nadal is playing himself into early retirement.

Djokovic fans are mad at both of them because the Nadal and Federer fans keep picking on their boy who's the newcomer of bunch. They are mad because the Federer and Nadal fans keep comparing their boy to Fed and Nadal when he's just getting started. Djokovic fans are tamer and less vicious because their boy don't have as many accomplishments as Federer and Nadal to brag about. To make matters worse he has a losing record against both of them. The truth is Djokovic's gotta lot to prove if he wants to be in the same league as Federer and Nadal.

Everyone of them is pointing fingers and none of them is gonna accept the fault.

  13. Well of course...

I don't see myself dissing Djokovic or Federer even though I'm totally rooting for Rafael in all their matches... I get disappointed when they beat Rafa but not to the point where I even go to the other two's websites and start insulting them in some ways...

In my opinion, those fans who are having catfights just because of the top 3's rivalry are just trying to look for attention
