i need to know something about on an above ground pool skimmer.

my question:

on the skimmer you could put a winterization plate on it, i need to know if i need to unscrew the winterization plate before i use my pool

please help me

I would say either. I'm sure it doesn't make much of a difference, I'd suggest keeping it on though. Just don't fiddle with it or anything so it gets damaged while you're in the pool, if you have kids, unscrew it so they don't mess it up.
