  1. I didn't read your blog, but I skimmed through it. I like some of your pictures and some of your pictures are bad. I would suggest that you sort through your pictures and only post your best work and get rid of the rest!!

  2. Hi.  I'm not a photographer, I'm a painter, so I can't say too much technically about the photographs, though I like some.  I think you have a good eye.

But one thing I can say is that I don't think you should say stuff like, "some of these suck."  I have a blog where I post paintings, and sometimes I really have to fight myself not to apologize for certain paintings.  But I decided that if it's a painting I don't feel good about, I just won't put it up, rather than say bad things about it.  I just think it sets the wrong tone.  Let people tell you what they think on their own, you know?

  3. I didn't read the blog.  Sorry.  But I did go through the pictures.  I would say that most are run of the mill snapshots taken out of curiosity over what the end result would be.  There were a couple interesting ones.  I like the dog in the grass.  But even with that one (there was more than one) and some of those shots looked interesting while others looked hazy, out of focus, etc.  Try posting you absolute favorites and getting those critiqued.  Then go and and shoot some more based on constructive feedback you get.

  4. i agree with carri. They aren't too good

  5. I use a Kodak Easyshare C613. I like it, except for taking night photos...basically useless. But anywho....I like a few of your photos. The very last one with the blue boulders was gorgeous. I also like the one under the day lily photo...the one of the road. Next time don't use the flash. The glare on the road is distracting. And I noticed with some of your other road photos, all you're doing is setting the camera on the ground and snapping, so the end result is a picture half full of road. Next time, get low, but not that low and try to put the road off center as opposed to dead center. My other favorite is the cloud and sun photo. I usually hate sun glare in photos but the way the clouds frame it in this one is just beautiful. Nice job :) Just one last thing....really play around with your camera. For being on the cheaper side, it has a lot of really nice features (with the exception of night photos). You can adjust your focal point, your ISO, your exposure, your white balance, macro mode, and exposure metering.

    Good work, keep shooting!
