Ryan Malone is officially going to the Phoenix Coyotes in my eyes.

Greg Malone has been with the Yotes... since he left Pittsburgh to go there (as a scout) after the 2005-06 season, I believe it was.

One of the reasons Ryan Malone supposedly didn't want to be traded to Columbus was because he didn't want to go to a noncontender. The Yotes aren't a contender. So he's probably not going to go there.

ADD: If Ryan and his dad want to be together, why did his dad go to Phoenix? Ryan has strong ties with Pittsburgh (and Minnesota). The word is that he doesn't want to go to a noncontender. You can feel how you want to, but Ryan to Phoenix doesn't make a lot of sense.

Ryan Malones father has been a scout  for the Coyotes that doesnt mean that he will be playing in AZ. if Ryan Malones father and the team really wanted his son to play for them they would have drafted him to play for them

Why wouldn't he with what has transpired in the desert lately. The chance to play for Wayne and in front of his dad, not to mention if they can give him enough money.

Honestly...I used to think that he was going to leave and Hossa would stay...but with the way things are looking...Hossa is going to be the one leaving and Malone is going to stay.

I don't know. If he does go to Phoenix he'll officially be know as "Daddy's little boy".

Greg probobly told a lot about Ryan to the Coyotes. Ryan would be a good fit for Phoenix because he could be a line-mate with Olli Jokinen, and maybe Vrbata too (if he returns to PHX).

I agree with everyone saying that just because his father is a scout doesn't mean Ryan is going to end up in Phoenix. Just because Marcel is playing Phoenix doesn't mean Marian Hossa is going to play their either even though NIPS and I think Marian is going to end in in Phoenix.

The Coyotes at this point need to worry about defense now that Ballard is now longer with the Yotes.

Just because his father is a scout for a team doesn't mean he's going to play there. Greg Malone played his NHL career with 3 teams, the Penguins being the only still existent. It would make as much sense to say that Ryan would continue to play for the Penguins as it would to say that he's going to play for Phoenix...I don't think he'll play for Phoenix, but that's just me. I sure hope not anyway lol...

You do know that there are tons of people with the last name "Malone" who isn't related, right? Do you think former Utah Jazz, Karl Malone is related to Ryan Malone?
