Look to switch up the dorm room bedding a little any ideas?

im a guy looking to change up the dorm room look. everything i have now is bland and neutral. i want to mix it up a little, and really have a shock and aww room that company can see and go wow. im the only one in the dorm room so my style is mine alone and doesnt clash.

any ideas on a good Bedding setup? also anything else, possibly painting the room a different color (already got clearance)? i like usefullness and conservative, but im tierd of the same old bland room.

I would say to use different textures. Like lamb skin which is really soft and you can find different size rugs at ikea.com also since your a guy in college a good pallet of color would be black, blue, and grey with a little bit of white in there. Here are a few pics to help you out:
