Look up the social security number of a deceased relative?

there is this site, like geneology or ancester.com....where you enter your relatives name and it will tell you their address and social security number.

But I cant remember the site.

Does anyone know?

  1. No, but the SSDI (Social Security Death Index) gives names and Social Security Numbers of deceased person...


  2. It's called the Social Security Death Index and you can find it at Rootsweb.com:

    http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/

  3. www.familysearch.org has a Social Security Death Index as do these:

    www.worldvitalrecords.com

    www.ancestry.com

    www.rootsweb.com

    They give either an address or a city/state where the last benefits were sent, and the state where their Soc. Sec. card was issued.
