Lookin' to get a guitar...?

I play a bit of country, rock, metal, and RAC, and I'm looking for a good guitar for all of them... I have a gretsch electromatic now, but I hate the way it feels, and I'm looking to trade it in.

I was thinking of getting an Ibanez RG350, but I'm open to any suggestions; Thanks :D

  1. Squire's are the biggest pieces of junk ever made.

what don't you like about the feel of your gretsch? the body size, weight, sound, fret board, is it a hollowbody?

Depending if your playing shows or not, you may want something different.

Ibanez will suit you great if you are playing a lot of hard and heavy stuff.

If you are leaning more toward a country sound that invest in a Fender Telecaster.

for a general all over guitar just get a Gibson Les Paul or Fender Strat till you learn more about guitar differences.

I usually just hit the music store once a week and try out new stuff and see what i like.

  2. If you want to shred get an Ibanez or a Jackson.

If you want to play bluesy country stuff get a Fender

If you want to get something that's kind of in the middle get a Gibson.

If your rich get an Paul Reed Smith.

  4. Get a Gibson Les Paul! This guitar has the versatility that you desire for all the genres you listed *

  5. the ibanez RG and GRGs are good guitars (like ive said a million times haha) and the RG comes in so many different colours as well. i have a GRG and it's great as far as im concerned, and RG is even higher quality. Or if you opt for a different guitar, getting one with 2 humbuckers and a single coil might be useful, so you can switch between the more bass and treble sounds for rock and such with the humbuckers, and still get the buzzing sound with the single coil for country. and the ibanez ones have that.

  6. I reccomend getting a fender squier, i have one and it rocks. its pretty cheap to like only $250. But the ibanez RG350 sounds awesome too.
