I want to make lasagna.

I love cooking and have made many things, but never lasagna.

I don't want to make it like from scratch - the noddles, etc.

But, does anyone have an awesome, or a couple good recipes they would like to share?

Thank you!

  1. I just made my first Lasagna tuesday! Use the recipe on the back of the San Giorgio Lasagna Pasta box! It is the best recipe by far and everyone raved about my lasagna!

  2. Really Simple...

    Last-Minute Lasagna

    1  26-ounce jar pasta sauce

1  30-ounce bag frozen large cheese ravioli, unthawed

1  10-ounce box frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

    1  8-ounce bag shredded mozzarella

    1/2  cup grated Parmesan

Heat oven to 350° F. Coat a 13-by-9-inch baking dish with cooking spray and spoon in a third of the sauce. Arrange 12 ravioli on top and scatter the spinach over them. Top with half of each cheese. Cover with another layer of ravioli and the remaining sauce and cheese. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 to 10 minutes more or until bubbly.

    Yield: Makes 6 servings

  3. This recipe is similar to what I make at home, except that I often use No-bake Lasagna Sheets during "season" or crunch time.  I still prefer to cook my own noodles, but I understand you wanting to save a little time without sacrificing the taste as well. May I suggest if you use the no bake lasagna sheets though, adding a little more sauce to your layers, it softens them up a bit during the cooking process.  Good Luck and have fun enjoying your homemade Lasagna!

    Italian Sausage Lasagna

    INGREDIENTS

2 Italian sausage links, casings removed

    1/4 cup chopped onion

    1 garlic clove, minced

1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained

    1/4 cup tomato paste

    3/4 teaspoon sugar

    1/2 teaspoon dried basil

    1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

    1/8 teaspoon pepper

    1 egg, beaten

    3/4 cup ricotta cheese

    1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

4 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

3/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

    1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

    DIRECTIONS

Crumble sausage into a small skillet. Add onion and garlic; cook over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes. Combine the egg, ricotta and parsley.

Spread 1/4 cup sauce in an 8-in. x 4-in. x 2-in. loaf dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Trim noodles to fit dish. Layer a third of the noodle pieces over sauce; top with a third of the remaining sauce, a third of the ricotta mixture and 3 tablespoons mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers twice.

Cover; bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes or until browned. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.

  4. Buy a box of noodles and follow the recipe on the back or use your own favourite spaghetti sauce recipe.  Get lots of mozzarella to put on top.

  5. I buy the no bake lasagna noodles, I follow the recipe on the box  ALMOST exact and always get rave reviews.  I use more a lot of meat, ground beef and sometimes italian sausage and I make my own sauce.  I would go with your favorite spaghetti sauce no matter what it is.  I use about twice the meat/sphagetti sauce and half the ricotta cheese mixture in mine and it is really good.  As with all recipes, try it until it becomes your own.

  6. First get a big stock pot and cook the noodles according to package. While the water is heating to boiling....brown 3/4 pound of ground beef with onions, drain, add to ragu sauce (biggest plastic jar you can find).  Cook till hot.  Mix all your cheeses together....16 oz shredded mozzerella, 15 oz container of ricotta, 15 or 16 oz container of cottage cheese.  Add 1 egg, speck of nutmeg, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper and mix all together with cheeses in a big bowl. Now your ready to begin making the lasagna. In a 9 by 13 baking dish spoon some sauce in bottom of pan, then layer of noodles , layer of cheese mixture, sauce again, noodles, cheese, sauce , noodles cheese, untill all filled up .  Cheese should be last thing you put on. then spoon a little sauce on that so you can see cheese through it. cook at 350 degrees for 30 min.
