Looking 4 brother born 3-3-1980 Grand Rapids, MI. Adopted July 1980. Blue eyes, caucasian, closed adoption..?

Hello, My name is Sarah and I am looking for my brother that was given up for adoption before I was born. His D.O.B is 3-3-1980. He was born at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI to Kathleen and Mark Coleman. Birth name was Mark. HE had blue eyes. English/ Irish descent.. Agency was D.A Blodgett services. He has contacted agency in 2003 and has an adopted sister who was also adopted through the same agency. I have been looking now for quite a while and have had no luck with online registries. If any of this sounds familiar to you I would greatly appreciate a response.....

Hang on, if he has contacted the agency then what right does that agency have to prevent the two of you being put in touch

It makes me so mad when people stand in the way of family contact - particularly when it  us mutually consentual  - grrrr!

what i did was go to the court house to the death/marriage/birth certificate office, there i filled out papers to be added to the adoption registry. it covered parents and siblings. if you register and he registers you will be matched up. thats how i found my birthmother.

otherwise i would go back to the agency and see if they have a procedure to match up. if he has already contacted them there shouldnt be too many problems.

you could also try whitepages.com, its free if they are listed in the phone book or classmates.com (thats how we found my birthfather believe it or not)

Post on cousinsconnect.com.  They will send you emails with info.  They found my daughter in 3 days.  There are wonderful people on this site.  good luck
