Looking 4nice Hotel in Sorrento,Italy-on coast but walkin distance to town centre, is this possible?pls help?

well eveyone walks or rides a scooter or bike . I will give you three ,u can check them out. www.hotelreginasorrento.it  this is a good place for tourists as the staff is helpful and provides maps and sightseeing tips.

The La Tonnarella is inexpensive and on the Vla capo.has a great in house resterant.www.latonnarella.it

there r several expensive hotelsI like Grand hotel Ambasciatori . I've never stayed their but the folks that do seem to love it. looks like a monasteryits on Via califano, I can't find a website but I bet you could find it and reviews on www.tripadvisor .com I hope this helps

Have you looked at the Excelsior Vittoria. I have stayed here before, and the location is absolutely perfect. It's located directly in the main Piazza(Tasso) and literally hangs off a cliff above the sea. I must warn that the hotel is quite expensive but, depending on the time of the year you may get a decent rate.

I visited in 'off season' and was actually upgraded to a small suite. Another great thing about this hotel is that the ferry to Capri leaves from the hotels main dock. The location was also great for walking around at night, restaurants literally footsteps away from the hotels front entrance. And the hotel was very close to the main bus depot, which we used one day for a day trip to Poisitano. I have never taken the bus system in Italy and it was a rare treat. We rode with the locals and stopped in many off-the-beaten path locations along the way. Very exciting. My husband and I were very happy with this hotel. Check it out: http://www.exvitt.it/
