I am trying to locate any of my Lucero Relitives from Amarillo Texas, accoding to my gradfater I should have 100's of uncles and cousins but I never met them due to the fact that my Great-Grandfather died 20 years before I was born and he was really the last direct relitive that had lived there and I have only gone there 1 time for a funerel of a cousin that had moved to NM.

Here is the family in the 1930 census in Potter County Texas

Source Citation: Year: 1930; Census Place: Amarillo, Potter, Texas; Roll: 2384; Page: 8A; Enumeration District: 16; Image: 801.0.

    Household Members: Name Age

From this census we also learn that Charley was 28 when he got married and Nicolaza was only 16.  Another interesting thing is that  Lucina was born in Kansas.

WHICH brings us to the 1920 census.  They were in fact in Kansas.  The name is mis indexed as Lucus, but if you look at the actual census page, you will see that it is Lucero.

Source Citation: Year: 1920;Census Place: Liberal, Seward, Kansas; Roll: T625_550; Page: 18A; Enumeration District: 225; Image: 640.

They were living near some people with the last name Valverde (all from New Mexico)  which makes me wonder if they were relation.  Carlos was working as a sweeper.
