Question:

Looking at another Deployment?

I got out of the army last year and I have a lot of medical problems but I wasnt medically discharged. Today I got recall orders that say I have to report to Georgia in 30 days. I am geting 10 percent disability for hearing issues I recieved after 2 tours in Iraq, not to mention my parents are elderly and rely on me for help on their ranch. Im also a deputy sheriff and currently work in a jail due to my disability because I cant go on patrol with my hearing being bad. What Im wondering is, since my elderly parents rely on me, leaving my job would be a hardship for both me and my agency (they said they needed me there not deployed), and my medical issues, could I get my orders deleted? I mean, its worth a try and deploying is gonna cause hardships on every front right now. What should I try?

  1. Try to vote for anyone else but McCaine..I am not being nasty but to me your a hero and you should be respected as one..Vets like you should speak out..Don't be fooled by McCain's Propaganda!

  2. It cant hurt to try....there should be a number on there or something...my husbands friend was on disability and got out of them by calling and calling to get things straightened out....granted he was out for back injuries not sure how they take hearing out there....but i believe they give you a physical and all that stuff just as they would for a normal deployment when you get to georgia to see if you qualify....if you still have your IRR card you can go to a post near you and ask to speak to someone about it.

  3. Play up your injuries and play crazy.  I would cry everyday and say, I can't take it, i wanna die.  if they still send you, thats Fcked.  i know i got thumbs down for my answer, but hey, its a real d**n answer.  you want to get out of deployment, there ya go.  that is why my name is what it is, cause i say S**t others can't say or are scared to say.  Play crazy dude, if you don't want to go.

  4. try to sent a letter to you senator and tell him you story!a lot of them help soldiers (sometimes just because it looks good on them, but better than nothing)!i think it's a least a shot worth!good luck to you

  5. you still have yo report as scheduled.  then you request to get out of it.  they do not have to let you out of it.  but you will need to prove  that it would be a severe hardship for you to deploy.
