Hey there,

Im 16 coming close to 17 and im looking at buying my first motorbike lisence.

I am on m L's and because of this I am restricted to the type of motorbike I can get.

I am legaly not aloud to ride any motorbike with an engine capacity over 660ml and a power-to-weight ratio over 150kw/tonne and has not been approved by the RTA and shown on the Approved motorcycles for novice riders list.

If anyone has any sugestions i would appreciate them.

Regards

  1. Im guessing your in Australia... but Its only a guess..(no profile info)..

so buy a second hand ,,  cheap bike to learn on..

any of the 250cc twin cylinder four strokes are good..

or even single cylinder 250cc bikes..

    CB honda/ CD honda.  SR/XS Yamaha.   GN/GF  Suzuki..EL/EN Kawasaki..

    or the cruiser bikes...

once you can ride...( in about a years time)..

trade it in on a bigger one... you will get basically what you paid for it..  unlesss you write it off throwing it down the road.. but better a cheap one than a nice new one...

  2. go to any motorcycle dealer and do have many looks at the bikes that suits your price and the cc you can have on the L's, if you doing mostly street riding go for the road bike but if you like abit of dirt buy a trail bike/motocross ask for extar's on buying your bike cash talks... net serach   go    Pitcity

  3. Have you considered the stock US Spec 2008 Aprilia SR 50 R Factory?  Has a great top speed!

Go to Londonbikers.com, they know what models you are restricted to, and the reliability of the models. Most of which we do not know.
