  1. are you talking about people arrested in the war? they are prisoners of war and dont have the same rights as a normal citizen would

  2. You clearly didnt look at the right document-

    http://www.un.org/aboutun/charter/

"Article 2" is only 7 parts long

None of this describes the treatment of prisoners at war

And on that note- when was the last time ANY country watched out for this part of the convention?:

Prisoners of war interned in unhealthy areas, or where the climate is injurious for them, shall be removed as soon as possible to a more favourable climate.

  3. Are you talking about the Charter on Human Rights??  We consistently break a lot of them.  Even having the death penalty in America is a violation of human rights.

  4. The UN is as worthless today as the day it was formed. We pay the most into it and catch all the h**l from it.

I would use the UN charter for toilet paper.

We shouldn't be in that organization anyhow.

It interferes with our sovereignty. Plus, its as corrupt as Congress.

They are our captures. Not the UN's. So, the UN can suck our %$#^ing @!#ks!

  5. Who cares?  The UN Charter isn't gonna protect us, bud!  W is doing that much right at least.  We haven't been hit since 9-11, so he must be doing something right!

  6. Any document without enforcement is useless.  The UN does not have an army or police force, so that makes it a glorified opinion pannel.  The UN is a good idea, but in the real world it ends up being useless.
