Looking back now, who was that one teacher you hated in school but respect now?

That one that didn't care about their popularity but, by Lord, they got you to know what they were teaching you. Maybe even a hard line now and then from them now rings true for you? Who were they?

I had a teacher in High School that saw that I cared more about boys and how I dressed than learning Math.  He honestly made fun of me everytime I had to go to the board.

While he maybe went about it the wrong way, he did get me to work harder so he wouldn't make fun of me anymore.

My Art Teacher in Elemtary School she made fun of me and called me retarted one time I wanted to cry

My fifth grade language arts teacher was a real tyrant, but I still know how to diagram a sentence!  Also my junior high math teacher - as an adult, I found out he was really a very caring teacher, but I was terrified of him and those "looks" that said you were really in trouble.  

Both were excellent role models for me later in life.
