Looking for FTTH/FTTP providers?

Ok, I keep hearing ads for <insert name here> internet that "uses an all-fiber network to provide the fastest speed to your home"...but what do they really mean...

As far as I know, the only true Fiber To The Home/Fiber To The Premises provider - that runs optical cable all the way to your home and onto your property (or into your home/garage/basement if you have an indoor central wiring area for the ONT like me) is Verizon FiOS. Others that advertise similar things (like Cox or Comcast) run fiber to a central street box and regular copper cable to the individual junctions and homes.

So are there any other RESIDENTIAL fiber-optic providers that run optical cable all the way to/into your home for internet, TV, and/or phone?

  1. Nope, FiOS is it my friend.

  2. Windstream offers FTTP in some markets, but they are primarily a rural carrier.
