  1. This might be the one you are looking for

    http://genforum.genealogy.com/farrington...

Even though it's spelled this way, it might be the same family.  They don't have a forum for every spelling of each name.

  2. Go back to the person who told you. Ask for  the URL. It will start with http://www.

it is also called the address.

I know just how you feel. I'm out of work. My sister is constantly telling me "Oh, my friend saw a job on the Internet. I think it was about computers." She doesn't know exactly where it was, or if it is PC repairs or network administor or data base designer. (The three are like bus mechanic, bus driver, and mechanical engineer for a bus manufacturing corporation. They all involve busses, by gum.)

    http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/...

has 48,240 entries for the surname.

    http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cg...

    has 11 entries

Neither GenForum or Ancestry have boards for it, or for the one 'r' variation.

Google has 155 hits for the words

Fairrington family genealogy -editorial -cartoon -yahoo -cartoons

use those negative signs. Ignore the first two hits,

    www.genealogytoday.com/

    and

    www.linkpendium.com/

    I hope this helps
